Techniques Behind Modern Web

Yesterday, I subscribed to Website Magazine - a magazine which covers a variety of categories of web business from website management, online advertisement, SEO to web design and development. This magazine is an excellent source for people who are interested in doing business on the net of any kind.
I’m very fond of the digital edition of the magazine powered by NXTBook, a Flash-based book reader from Nxtbook Media; and because Flash plugin is installed in almost all browsers, you would likely have to download nothing more to read the magazine.

If you are familiar with reading books/magazines on Adobe Reader, you’ll find almost the same functionality in NXTBook. Moreover, reading book on NXTBook gives you the feeling of reading real book with flipping effect and sound. You can zoom in or zoom out any part of the page with just one click (see zoomed-in page below). I can say the quality of fonts and pictures is more than just good in comparison with some PDF magazines I’ve read, and they are rendered without a glitch in my machine.

Of course, you can view table of contents, create bookmarks/notes on pages you like and set reading options in “Tools”, “Contents” menu.

In case you want to read the magazine offline, you can always get a file which encloses both reader and contents by selecting “Save” button on the reader. Click the image below to read a sample of the digital issue.
I wonder why you don’t subscribe to Website Magazine right now for both print and digital edition are completely free. (Note: if you live outside USA and Canada, subscription to print edition costs $30 US for delivery fee.)
Well, I’ll let articles of the magazine speak themselves for their quality but I bet you’ll find them useful.

Mads B. Westmark and Jesper Rønn-Jensen have some great quotes for the agile project wall. Everyone talks about Microsoft's $45 billion offer for Yahoo these days and, on the other hand, it is seen by many here as just what is needed to repel another monopolist in the making: Google.
