Firebug for Firefox 3

If Firebug is only reason to prevent you from upgrading to Firefox 3 (beta) you can do that right now because the latest version (1.1, beta too) of Firebug works nicely with it.

Among a lot of bug fixes, some great features of this version are:

Supports Firefox 3,
eval() debugging,
browser-generated event handler debugging,
executable lines marked with green line numbers,
user-controlled naming of eval() buffers,
clearer debugging icons,
internal firebug debug output,
external editor interface,
Stack side panel on “Script” panel for callstack,
CSS errors report against source lines

Firebug is one of the most important add-ons I couldn’t live without and makes Firefox being the best friend of web developers/designers. Thanks John J Barton!

This version of firebug does not work properly for me. I’m running kubuntu 8.04 and Firefox3.

if you’re trying to get firebug in ubuntu 8.04, don’t install the 1.1 beta. for some reason, it won’t work.. at least not as of 1.1b12.

instead, just do a ’sudo apt-get install firebug’. it installs a snapshot from the 1.2 branch that works beautifully with firefox 3b5 on hardy.

Just upgrade to FF3 RC1.
I can no more see the highlight border around elements using the inspect tool..

if you use only stable packages, you have the Beta5 ->
In firefox RC1 and 2 Firebug run, but at the moment is the officel site down

I use Kubuntu 8.04 + FF3 RC2
